Ali Oturaklı, PMP

Instructor

He graduated from Middle East Technical University (METU) Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1982. He worked as an electrical-electronic maintenance engineer at Ak-kardanSA between 1982-1983 and at KordSA between 1985-1987. Between 1983-1985, he did his military service as a second lieutenant in the research and development department of the Naval Forces Taşkızak shipyard. During this period, he worked as a hardware designer on some military electronics projects.


He started to work as a software engineer in NETAS R&D (Research and Development) department in February 1987. He worked at NETAŞ R&D in various positions in the software development groups of Nortel DMS (Digital Multiplex System) telephone exchanges for 20 years. Between 1987-1991, he was working as a software designer, and during this period he took part in various telecommunication software projects at NORTEL's software development center in Ottawa (Canada). In 1991-1995, as software manager; Software projects of Russia, Poland and Türkiye telecommunication protocols; performed with the group. In 1995-1997, for an international NORTEL project, 1 year at NORTEL's software development center in Madienhead (England); As software/project manager, he completed part of the main project. He continued to develop these in NETAŞ (Turkey) by taking responsibility for the development projects to be carried out in new versions of this section and for different countries. Between 1997-1998, he worked as the manager of the group responsible for project management and technical training of all NETAŞ R&D groups. Between 1998-2003, as the manager of a newly established software group, he worked as a software/project manager in the development of ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) protocol for Türk Telekom. Between 2004-2007, he worked as a software architect, technical training coordinator and trainer, and as software process manager at NETAŞ DMS switchboards.


After 20 years of R&D software and project experience; In the technical support group of the center of excellence established by NORTEL in NETAS in 2007-2010; He worked as the manager of the EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) technical support group for the 'GSM packet core', 'GSM voice core' and 'Optical' products, respectively. In 2010, NORTEL went bankrupt and Ali Oturaklı retired from NETAS in July 2010 after 23.5 years of service.

Between 2011 and 2013, he served as the 'General Manager' of ENOTEK, which is the Turkey representative of leading companies in its field (such as General Elektrik, Merck, Teledyne-ISCO) and a sales-oriented company.


Ali Oturaklı has the PMP® (Project Management Professional®) certificate of the Project Management Institute®, headquartered in the USA.
